Why we love what we do

Artist and designer Sara Porter started Saragraphics in 1981. She had recently moved to Seattle after spending several years in British Columbia, where she was involved in a resurgence of first nations cultural arts and learned about the form line design of the Tlingit people. Creating pen and ink drawings to be used in screen printing on fabrics, she has offered many designs over 30 years of selling on the crafts line at the Pike Place Market. Her son Isaac has grown up a 'market baby' and hopes to continue the legacy of Saragraphics at Pike Place. He is a very skilled screenprinter and takes pride in the family business.
